A Fantastic First Students' Meeting for "I CARE AND I RECYCLE"!

Image
We are thrilled to share that our first online student meeting for the eTwinning project "I CARE AND I RECYCLE" was a resounding success! Students from the participating countries came together virtually to kick off our environmental journey. During the meeting, everyone had the chance to introduce themselves and share their hobbies and interests. It was truly heartening to see the joy and curiosity on their faces as they listened to their peers from different parts of Europe. This first interaction was filled with enthusiasm, building the first bridges of friendship and collaboration. It’s clear that when it comes to caring for our planet, we all speak the same language. We are looking forward to our next steps!

In their first eTwinning project, the students of 3rd grade had the opportunity to introduce themselves in a creative and exciting way. Since it was their very first project, everything felt new and interesting! First, they learned how to use the digital tool Padlet . They discovered how to create posts, upload their work, and share their ideas safely online. With the help of Artificial Intelligence, they also created their own avatars, which made the activity even more fun and engaging. Finally, each student wrote a few sentences about themselves — their name, age, hobbies, favorite subjects, and dreams. Through this activity, they practiced their English, improved their digital skills, and felt proud to share their personal profile with their European partners. It was a wonderful first experience in the world of collaboration and creativity!

As part of our eTwinning project, students took part in an engaging activity focused on internet safety. The session began with watching educational videos that highlighted the importance of staying safe online and practicing good netiquette. After the screening, students brainstormed and wrote their ideas on the classroom board, identifying key rules for digital citizenship. To conclude the activity, they moved to the project's forum , where they posted their thoughts.

As part of our eTwinning project, students created logo designs for the project with the help of Artificial Intelligence tools. All the logos were collected on a digital board (Linoit), where students could view them, discuss their ideas, and vote for their favorite one. After the voting process, the logo that will represent our school was selected and will be shared with the project partners. This is the logo with the most votes.

8th Primary school of Kallithea/Georgia Karabali/ AnswerGarden Activity

Image
At the beginning of the project, students take part in an introductory activity using the digital tool AnswerGarden. They answer the question: "If the Earth had a voice, what would it tell us?"  By using single words or short phrases, students express their feelings, thoughts and concerns about the environment and recycling. Their answers create a digital word cloud, which becomes the starting point for discussion, reflection and active engagement in the project.
